After a backyard redesign this past summer, we were concerned that our deer population would soon visit and enjoy it a little too much. We have over 30 hostas on the bank behind the house, along with many other plants. Last year added a bed all the way down the side of the driveway with another 30 hostas. We hired En Garde this spring and their service has been fabulous. Our house is located on a golf course in a cluster HOA and there are a ton of deer. We totally renovated our landscaping over the last year. Now the deer do not come in our yard. In fact, they stay at least 25 feet away. I've planted hostas (deer candy) for the first time and they are in perfect shape. I would say that there have been maybe two nibbles on flowers, but nothing really worth mentioning. We are thrilled with their service and plan to continue it next year as well.

The only reason not a 5 is because sometimes the deer still are very hungry and eat plants which I am not sure any product can totally prevent. However, owner can tell and randomly discounts service. The communication, dependability and professionalism and all a 5. Product definitely helps though!

May 28, 2022 Update:I'm now on my third spray application. Wow! This product is truly amazing. The deer traffic patterns in my yard have begun to change. Alot of the deer that usually trespass either briskly pass through my property or they don't stop for long to feed. I've also noticed some deer "detouring" past my property all together 😊.I'm still pleased with the both the product and results.Just utilized their free trial. I noticed the deer that came into the yard later that evening, didn't stay as long as they normally do. Thus far, I'm pleased with this product and its results. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Seems to be working great so far this spring. Living on the edge of the national park, we have a lot of deer coming through the yard almost daily. Haven't seen any damage this year at all so far. Never been happier to see all my hostas intact and thriving.These are usually appetizers for the 🦌 before the hydrangeas and lillies come in. They look great!

I met Jeff at the Home and Garden show March 2020. I talked to him and took information, but I was skeptical. After the deer ate my annuals on my front porch yet again, I decided to give him a try. He believes in his product so much that he offers a free trial. It works after a one time spray. Of course I get the maintenance monthly sprays to keep the deer away and I have not seen them since! Jeff is easy to work with and always quick to respond to questions.I noticed this season that rhododendron bushes that have not bloomed for years have bloomed this spring. I asked Jeff if it was due to my starting the spray earlier this season than I did last season. He actually told me that the spray from the end of the Fall protected the plants from the deer eating them during the winter and that is why I am seeing them bloom! He's very knowledgeable about the deer and his product.

My backyard is fenced in. Before En Garde the family of deer would jump my fence and smorgasbord on my mature landscaping plus a baby deer got impaled on my fence as it tried to jump into my yard. I don't normally write reviews unless I am highly satisfied and feel compelled to share a gold nugget with others. That being said, I want to recommend this service to anyone that feels like their yard is a 24/7 buffet for deer. We have tried so many different products, putting up bird netting and posts, barriers, etcetera, and they either didn't work, or were a royal pain to take down, put up and/or repair every year.After so many other products failed, I did not have much faith in En Garde working either. With the sample offer that Jeff made me to try it, I figured it would worth it to see if it would end my yearly aggravations. Well, I have to say, it has honestly been one of the best decisions and investments I have ever made. We were able to enjoy our flowers, bushes, and landscape for the first time in probably over 15 years. We took down all the posts and netting and have now seen flowers and vegetation we have forgotten we planted due to the deer eating them before they had a chance to grow.Jeff is also very helpful, easy-going, and patient. I give him and his product a 5-star rating and will be using him every year so I can have peace of mind, and my yard back to enjoy!

I must say I was a sceptic about this actually being able to work. I have a large lot in Richfield with my own herd of deer. We love our flowers and to be real, most likely the one with the most flowers planted. When I received the post card from En Garde I thought he had a unrealistic vison to keep the deer from my foliage. I was wrong. We went through spring and summer and there was not one of plants or flowers touched by the deer. I was reluctant to share this earlier because I did not want to jinx our good fortune with our beautiful lot. You will never know that the service people come, they are swift and quick just like the deer. Highly recommended and satisfied. Will use again next year.

Our urban back yard has very heavy deer pressure. We see at least 12 deer a day. While they are pretty and peaceful, they are hungry! I tried everything I could and nothing worked. These deer even nibbled my junipers! I found Jeff’s company, En Garde Deer Defense, through a mailer ad magazine. I gave him a call and in just 1 treatment, our yard was no longer the designer salad bar. The treatments last for about 3-4 weeks. I was shocked, grateful and sold on the product! I had a great deal of deer damage for years. I tried everything, including sprays, predator urine, soap, and home-made concoctions. Nothing worked. I called En garde Deer Defense as soon as I saw their ad. Jeff came out right away and gave us a free trial. It worked! The deer looked so disappointed when they came in the yard. They stopped munching and pretty much just stayed away. Many of my neighbors are using en garde’s services and are as thrilled as I am. On one rare occasion, after a deer did some browsing, Jeff came right out and sprayed an extra time with no charge. We are extremely happy with en garde!

We started this late spring/summer using Jeff & En Garde Deer Defense. The trial is a wonderful thing to do. Our experience has not been without a few bumps in trying to keep the deer away. A doe delivered her baby in our yard... which makes keeping them away, much harder. My damage has been FAR FAR LESS than in previous years, when I was the one trying to keep them away. My yard is large with many flowers, shrubs & ornamental trees. I have never worked with someone so willing to work with us solving this problem. Jeff is kind, professional & explains things - (about deer & their habits, what goes into the spray.) I can HIGHLY recommend Jeff & using this product. You will enjoy your yard so much more & feel comfortable dealing with Jeff.

We started service 3 weeks ago. We have very heavy deer traffic in our neighborhood, in past we have purchased expensive sprays that require frequent application. If we are away or forgot my plants are mere stems overnight. It is so aggravating & costly replacing plants. After first application by En Garde Deer Defense we were amazed. I like En Garde service and it seems that it works so far (for two months already). The deer are around our property but they do not eat our plants. Except for a very few daylilies that bloomed between sprays, all hostas, hydrangeas, and most daylilies that were eaten in the previous years are intact. For the first time in years, we enjoyed late-blooming daylilies and white-blooming fragrant hostas.Jeff Ardo was (and is) very accommodating to our needs in terms of the timing and number of the applications. He also re-sprayed our plants (with no additional cost) when rain came shortly after the regular application. I appreciate Jeff's quick responses to our emails, as well as notifications that an application was completed.

Jeff and his deer spray services are outstanding! I was skeptical about spray working as the stuff I bought from the store did NOTHING. I live in a National Park and have baby fawns born in my yard each year, and they eat everything, including the soap I put out to deter them. But I met with Jeff and he convinced me it was worth a try and the trial process is risk free, so it was definitely worth a shot.At this point, my two large hydrangea bushes had not flowered for three years due to year over year deer damage. I have been very pleased with the magical results of the deer deterrent applied by Jeff of En Garde Deer Defense. Right from the start, I began to see flowers that have not bloomed in my yard for a few years, always having been "mowed" down by groups of deer before that could happen. Prior to this I tried using Liquid Fence, but the results were only middling, and it required re-spraying every 2 to 4 weeks. It also had a repugnant odor that made the job even less desirable. Jeff has been very reliable and it is easy to communicate with him. I can finally enjoy my landscape and end the expense of replacing damaged plants. I am hopeful that a deer damaged false cypress tree can still repair itself. No longer do deer approach the house and eat my landscape while I watch and try to shoo them away.

So glad I decided to check out En Garde's ad in a circular that came in the mail!! We've had a deer problem in our suburban neighborhood for years, and I have lost many plants I love to the deers' appetite, plus a white dogwood tree with sentimental connections to my deceased husband. So far, so good! En Garde really seems to be working, just hope it continues. We see day lilies that we have not seen in years as the deer would take off the tops of the lilies. Yes, there are some nibbles but that's okay. This will be an interesting season to see if we can actually grow flowers, tomatoes. Hope Jeff finds a solution for the chipmunks, woodchuck, etc.

I got my free treatment; I am really happy they offered that because I wanted to see if this was legitimate and I wasn't going to be wasting my money!!. I live in Bedford Heights ;we are surrounded by Metro Park. There are deer everywhere!! We have to surround our plants with nets which is not attractive. Well Satuday my neighbor told me that the deer was walking around in the neighborhood and they had been in her yard but left mine alone !! It rained all last week and it still worked. I left my netting on the ground near my Hosta's just in case I needed to put it back up. So I feel comfortable enough to take it all down. Really Happy with the results. This treatment really works!!

For many years I had a beautiful, largely daylily, garden the 65 feet along my driveway. Six or eight years ago the deer moved in and took over, eating everything in the garden. I put up six foot netting, a lot of work and expense every year. Often there would be holes in the netting and damage to the plants. Last year I put up the heavier, uglier, more expensive netting. Unfortunately, the deer jumped over it and ate everything. I mean the number of daylilies went from several thousand for the season to three. This year before I got the netting put up, deciding to give it one more try before tearing the garden out, the deer had chewed my plants from a few inches tall flat to the ground. Then I saw an ad for En Garde Deer Defense. It offered a free trial, so I figured I had nothing to lose. I was really nervous when I didn't put my netting up. Well, it's two months later, and my garden is gorgeous. Just drive past it - 409 Bradley in Bay Village. Deer Jeff, who has the service, is kind, friendly and very accommodating. The deer may take a small nibble, but promptly go away. Before I planted my annuals, Jeff stopped over and sprayed my plants, even before they were in the ground. We recently installed complete new landscaping to our new construction home, spending thousands on trees, shrubs and ornamental plantings. in the first few weeks, our landscaper had to replace 5 trees and hydrangeas due to deer destruction.He then gave us the details of En Garde Deer Defense, and were so glad to have spoken to Jeff!Since Jeffs first application, we've been impressed with the results and signed up for the seasonal program. After 8 weeks since the initial treatment, we've had ZERO damage from deer to any of our new plants! 2019: I want to update my review after one year with En Garde Deer Defense. We are so very happy with the results! Our 5’ tall Weigela, which we had slated to remove due to minimal leaves and 2-3 flowers last year before spraying, burst into bloom and is full foliage again. I wish I could post a picture. It was gorgeous! Dianthus have sprung up on their own from previous years and are not eaten. It is exciting to see new plants coming up AND surviving! Jeff is so nice and knowledgeable to work with as well as responsive when you contact him. His free trial spray and environmentally friendly spray prompted us to try his product and the excellent results convinced us to sign up for the yearly spray. I really think you need to see it to believe it.2018: We are very happy with our early results. Jeff is great to work with and patient in answering all of our questions. Within two weeks of our first application we noticed coral bells, astilbe and other plants that we thought were forever gone from our yard surviving since the deer are not eating them. These plants have begun to grow again without damage. Additionally, our mature lilac bushes have undergrowth surviving, Our young lilac (which was wrapped in netting for the past 3 years and still getting eaten) is unwrapped and experiencing new growth. Our spirea, which has not grown more than 3” tall for the last 3 years are currently about 8” tall and still showing more new growth. It is a pleasure to sit on our patio and enjoy our plants again. It was extremely important to us that these results were obtained using environmentally safe, natural ingredients that are harmless to humans and pets. WOW! I am so very pleased with the service and results we have gotten from EN Garde Deer Defense. We use to have eight or more deer feasting in our yard at one time. (We believe that the neighbor has been feeding them.) I tried everything on my own, Irish Spring soap, coyote urine, two or three different commercial deer off sprays without success. We had to have unsightly wire fences up year round to protect the bushes and flowers were not possible. I have been using EN Garde Deer Defense for 4 months and have seen remarkable results. The deer still occasionally walk through the yard, but the fences are down and the bushes are growing. We are able to enjoy our yard. The deer did start to nibble once and we called. Jeff came out the next day and sprayed. That stopped the nibbling. I am very excited for next spring, I plan on planting flowers once again. I highly recommend EN Garde Deer Defense
