Spray Technicians
Spray Technicians apply our natural, safe, and environmentally friendly deer repellent to residential and commercial landscapes. If you like landscaping, exercise, & working outside, then this is the job for you! No experience is necessary; we will teach you everything you need to know to succeed and grow with the company. A valid, clean driver’s license is a must. Knowledge of floral landscaping is a big plus. Part Time & Full time (with possible OT) positions available with benefits. This is hard work and will require stamina.
Office Staff
The office worker will be the backbone of the company, handling a wide array of tasks that all deal with customer service and spray operations. You will be responsible for engaging with customers on behalf of our company. This includes answering phone calls or emails from customers to answer questions, participating in meetings and will maintain expert knowledge about company products or services to best help customers. The position will also maintain the operations of the jobs by working with the owner and spray technicians to ensure deer deterrent sprays are completed on time. The position will entail the use of two CRM’s, which we will train you on and you will need to have good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook on the Macintosh platform. The is a part time position that can become a full time position within a short period of time.

After 15 years of doing home application, this was my first time using an outside company to spray, and had outstanding results. 0ur yard has hostas, daylillies, taxus, and flowering plants. Saw only a few deer the entire growing season,with zero damage to our yard.

I don’t normally write reviews but I found it imperative to write this about my experience with En Garde.. Let’s just cut to the chase, the product and the companies service technicians are simply outstanding. I’ve been fighting for many years to maintain my flower beds, etc. against deer damage and this product has been my savior. Finally, I can enjoy my garden beds for an entire season without even a “nibble”of damage. I would highly recommend En Garde Defense . Since we have been using them for the first time my front flowers have bloomed and never looked healthier. We use to see 5 - 10 deer around even sleeping on our front lawn, now we may see 1-2 and they bypass our yard ! We are very happy with our yard now. Thanks En Guarde.

This works perfectly. Keeps deer rabbits squirrels and chipmunks from eating and or digging up the roots. Does not have any negative effect on my dog. Great Product!

My plants (especially hostas) are flourishing now that deer are truly staying away! I would do liquid deer fence and if I missed a day or two, deer would come feast even on flowers they typically don’t like. I no longer see them on my cameras which before I would catch them with the liquid fence and even spices I would use to deter them. For as much as I spend time and money wise on plants, worth the monthly cost.

So far so good. Nothing has been eaten by the deer. Every year we fight this battle. This is so convenient. No smell, no residue and you wouldn't even know they have been here. Tech very professional and friendly.

First season using EnGarde. Never smelled it, but deer sure did. I had hostas that have never bloom, bloom this year. Not sure what’s in it,but it’s liquid gold.M
Response from the owner: If only it were...liquid gold! 😁 But alas, it's an all natural mixture of things you can mostly buy at the grocery store along with a sticker (found in soaps and shampoos) so it can stay on your plants through several rains. Explained what they were doing, verified the yards boundaries. Very pleasant. Since the first application 3 months ago, I haven;t seen a deer nor any damage to my plants.So far this year we have not seen more than 3 and they just passed through. No damage to Hostas, hydrangeas or any other plants. Dry satisfied with the service, will continue with company.

My wife is an uber gardener. She manages 16 beds on our property. Our property size is 2.87 acres. We are in Bath Township on the Northeasern corner of the township very close to the CVNP. A ravine at the back of our property leads down into the valley. (A deer trail.) She has been spraying to protect our yard from "the giant rodents" for years, always needing to get back out after any type of rain. We took the trial spray on July 23. Today August 12th we had our first spray done as customers and we could not be more pleased. Since July 23 we observed only one faint nibble on one of the trees. And we have had 5 heavy rainstorms in that time period. But the THOUSANDS of hosta blossoms remain intact. We have only seen deer in the yard twice since then. We actually saw them making a big detour around our yard a few mornings ago. En Guard Deer Defense knows what they are doing and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you give them a try. UPDATE: Last year all our buds were gone in a week. Also, as you can see by the pic they were eating some of the plants completely (hence the much smaller plants then the others). We have had these buds and flowers for about three weeks with not one eaten!!! We LOVE you En Garde!!We put in a large amount of landscaping last May. I fought the deer and rabbits and lost many times! I tried all the sprays, I did the soap, I yelled, I put up "fences" around the bushes.... bunnies ate the blooms on the bushes and the deer ate a lot of blooms and leaves.I got my first spray done three weeks ago. I have buds and leaves on everything with no sign at all of anything eaten!!!!This product is amazing. The deer don't even come near the house now! They stay further away in the yard.I would HIGHLY recommend this and would give them more stars if I could!

I'm not sure how they do it as we have tried multiple remedies to stop the deer from devastating our landscaping. En Garde is the best!

After being plagued with so many deer every day these last several years, (we live near the Metroparks) I’m finally seeing a lot of my perennials bloom. They used my yard as if it was their home, eating the crabapples, flowers and anything else edible, resting in my gardens for a nap or just out for a stroll. My hostas are not being devoured. I will have to wait until later this summer, early fall to see if the bucks destroy my shrubs with their antlers, as they have in the past. I admit that I was skeptical but desperate enough to try this service. So far, so good!

Safe product that will work rain or shine, does not harm the environment, keeps pollinators feeding, is safe for humans and pets. Better than Deer Scram or any other product we've tried in the last 18 years. LOVE love love this company!! I have used every commercial product and homemade concoction out there … they worked for a minute but the deer always returned. After 2 seasons of En Garde’s deer defense, I finally have my lilies, hostas, hydrangeas, and day lilies to enjoy!!! I literally watch the deer skirt my yard and head to all my neighbors. Going for our 3rd year with En Garde. Over the past 2 years we have seen Hostas grow huge like they did years ago and discovered other plants and flowers we were sure were goners due to the deer. Expecting the same again this year!

En Guard is the real deal! I have been able to enjoy flowering bushes, trees and plants despite my neighborhood being inundated with deer. Before finding En Garde, I was not able to have ANY plantings even "deer resistant" plants! The product they spray has no odor and it is not toxic.It works! En Garde employees are professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant! I highly recommend this service if you are plagued with deer eating your landscape.

We live in a heavily wooded development off of ridge road in North Royalton we have an abundance of deer.... As a matter of fact we usually have a doe give birth annually in our development close to our condo... I received my third application today and so far three of my neighbors have gotten their plants destroyed I have over 15 to 20 hostas nothing's been touched...... Success ......

This service reduced the piles of deer crap in my back yard I had to deal with each spring from 100-150 to 0-3. I also get no damage to my 100 hostas. It also helps a lot with my 70 foot garden along my driveway. They are absolutely fantastic!

Very happy with En Garde Deer Defense, I have been dealing with this deer problem for years and I live in Parma Ohio. I have tried every home remedy and no prevail.Thanks for keeping the deer out of my yard and saving hundreds and hundreds of dollars on my plants for which before the deer would eat daily. My husband and I are relatively new customers. We have a terrible problem with deer. Our property is heavily landscaped. We have invested a lot of time and money in our property. While we think the deer are beautiful they are using our property as a salad bar! And that is not an exaggeration! Or friend who knew that we were having difficulty managing the deer population on our property said she read an ad about En Garde Deer Defense. We had been treating our property on our own and while effective it was very temporary and a lot of work. She said that En Garde Deer Defense offered a free trial application. I thought well I'm going to do it because I have nothing to lose. And I will believe it when I see it. We set up our appointment. This was for the free trial. The service provider showed up exactly when they were supposed to explained the service to us, and how it worked. He then serviced our property and we sat back to wait. Absolutely zero deer damage from that day forward. And I do mean zero! The property next door to us was being annihilated an hour property was perfect. We immediately signed up for continuing service and I can't begin to describe how happy I am! They finished up our service in the fall and we set up when we wanted our service to start again this spring. Once again right on time! The deer had already started nibbling and I thought you aren't going to ruin my flowers again. One application and no more deer! They wander around in the yard herds of them! We are on a dead end street and next to nothing but wildlands. They aren't touching anything in my garden. I wasn't sold on this until I saw the results. This product absolutely works! And my property 100% effective! And like I said we are a salad bar for deer! No smell, no staining, no nothing! But the deer know that it's there and this works! I am so happy that we found En Garde Deer Defense! One last thing for us to worry about. We aren't hurting the environment or the deer. I’ve been truly delighted with the service from En Garde Deer Defense. My garden never looked better last year, and I was no longer a slave to constantly worrying about deer damage. Even throughout the winter, no harm came to my plants, and I was saved the expense of replacing decimated bushes this spring.The company provides excellent customer service and communication, but most importantly, the product works!I could not recommend En Garde more highly.

We hired En Garde last fall and it is probably one of the best decisions we made. The deer have been relentless eating our shrubs....even Boxwood shrubs. We are elated with the result of En Garde's products. Most of all I am over-the-top all my perennial are in full blown and not one has been touched by deer. I would highly recommend En Garde. The professional applicator took great care in spraying the yard. And, with my ring doorbell I watched him get behind a large flower pot and spray it from behind so as not to get the spray on my windows.Thanks

I love En Guard!!! The deer were do prolific in our yard that they were starting to not only destroy my annuals and perennials…. But my shrubs as well!!! And replacing shrubs is very expensive!!!En Guard really made a huge difference!!! My shrubs have recovered and I can even enjoy flowers again.I would highly recommend!!!
